There is also an independent
calculation prophecy to calculate the death of the Messiah from a decree to
rebuild
Do note however lunar years
are different to Jewish years when they are doing their calculations a month is
added every so many years, 7 times in 19 to make adjustments. For the Jews themselves synchronize to both the moon and the sun. And
also the lunar month is about 29.8 days or something, which is far too much
information for primitive man 4000 years ago. So 30 is
assumed, with the very concept of a month being all about the moon (moonth). It
is only over a period of time that adjustments were made to keep the moon in synchronization
with their feasts, with the Passover Paschal Moon being the 15th of Nisan.
This page is concerned with
astronomy and the wise men. And with other scriptures which give an astronomy
sign. Incidentally the world Planet is from the Greek word planetes which means
wanderer, after the definition name meaning wandering stars. At that time all
the lights beside the sun and moon were called stars, and named as gods in the
heavens, the biggest the more powerful.
This idea came to me many
years ago when I got my hands on a program called Skyglobe back in 1992-3, in
the days before the internet. At the time I saw nothing. Then one day in 2003 I
was doing searches on the internet, and came across the Star of Bethlehem on a
web page somewhere. It said that Jupiter and Regulus had a thing going where
Jupiter did a retrograde, back in September 11, 3BC, and has a flash animation.

So I found Skyglobe online and downloaded it again to
take a look with my own research in my control. J
A RETROGRADE is when a planet
appears to stop still compared to the background stars. It then reverses it’s direction and stops, and resumed it’s forward
direction. The whole process takes weeks or months depending on the planet’s
distance from earth. This is actually an optical illusion which occurs at the
planet hooks around to head behind the sun, and an animation would solve this
best.
Note that astrologers use the
same names for the stars and planets and astronomy factors like a retrograde
cycle. So while this animation is at an astrology site, I do not promote
astrology. Seeking signs occurring at major events was certainly right by these
Magi in Jesus day. So they have their place. I think if you seek to use the
stars to plan your future then you are breaking what the bible says against
astrology.

With the meanings of names Jupiter is the Roman name for the god the Greeks call Zeus, as the king of the gods.
Regulus is said to mean “The Little King”.
It is the brightest star in the constellation Leo the
lion.
Jesus by definition is also
the lion of
The wise men from the east
which followed the star have something happening which we are trying to
understand. For all the stars rise in the east and go west. So many think that
the star they followed was an extra “star” to the normal stars of the heavens.
However, at that time on that day there were more signs occurring in a 24 hour
period and over the next few months as continuations that it stands out.
When I was looking at this in
Skyglobe, I was scrolling it back and forth through the days to see it animate
over time. And it was sunrise the next morning which was interesting. In the
animation above with Jupiter and Regulus it mentions the first Conjunction of
Jupiter and Regulus, but says it on 14th of September, 3BC. However, in
Skyglobe we get them coming together on September 11 and 12, 3BC.
However the interesting
thing, as if an angel whispered it in my ear, was the sunrise on the 12th. From
Bethlehem view Virgo rose with the sun just above her hip and the scripture
came to mind, where it says there was a great sign in the heavens and the woman
clothed with the sun and the moon at her feet, was with child gave birth to a
male child, which was caught up to heaven and the right hand of God. This is in
Revelation 12, that is another 12! Another
sign that the 12th of September in
This stood out, that exactly
to the day to
The fullness of the
Revelation 12 prophecy has the sun and the moon. Now if we move a day in either
direction to the sunrise of the 12th of September 3BC, the moon is too far
below or too far above her feet.
This Great Sign in the
heavens also fits another sign where it is first told to Isaiah 7:14 that God
should put forth a sign, where a virgin shall give birth and his name shall be
Immanuel which means God with us. Whether or not this is a physical virgin is
another factor I don’t want to go into here, but as far as a sign in the
heavens where a virgin gives birth, this seems to be it. And now also consider
the two Venus factors of Conjunctions just before and afterwards as shown in
the above animation.
But to make this even more
unique and a “GREAT” Sign in the heavens, there are also three planets also in
Virgo. Two where in her arm above her head, and the other just near her lowered
hand. The names of the three planets have meaning in relation to Jesus, these
are Venus and Mercury in the arm, and Pluto near the other hand.
Jesus calls himself the
Morning Star in Revelation 22:16.

God and His messenger which he sent.

the underworld which is death. Jesus says he has the keys to Hades in his hand in Revelation 1:18.

As can be seen here, the odds of all this happening is quite remote.
Now there is the question of
the Retrograde cycle and the star the Magi followed. And where they followed it from. What was their point of
origin? Some think they came from
Well we can work some things out
for a ball park figure. They were travelling at night. They were following the
star, and the star stopped in
We know that a retrograde has
the planet stopping 2 times, as it reverses directions.
Consider they saw the Virgo
sign above, the sun and the moon, and the planets. Prior to that they saw
Jupiter and Regulus come together, and prior to that
Venus had a conjunction with Jupiter.
Then after the Virgo sign
sunrise, which would have been hidden as soon as the sun rose, by they would
know from their map charts that it was happening. In fact this sign would not
be visible until near 2000 years later with the astronomy software.
When Jupiter stopped for its
first change of direction it was some days after September 12. The magi would
have seen this and perhaps this is when they decided to load up the camels and
follow it. Travel by night is somewhat slow and one needs to be cautious,
perhaps only travelling a few miles per night. Certainly a
lot less than during the day. However it was also custom
to travel the deserts at night and sleep during the day.
Now the distance from
This was not actually at the
birth, but they were in a house. In fact when they stopped in to King Herod and
asked him for directions, Herod was jealous and sought to kill the child king.
He decided to kill male children 2 years and under just to make sure. This
shows that the child was not just born.
It also shows that the Magi
so much believed this Great King was born and all around him would know of him,
and that he would be known of in the palace, and most likely be in the palace.
Between the times of
Jupiter’s first stopping to it’s second is around 135 days.

time, and the star shone above them. And then the miracle of
the angel guiding the light and their mind’s perceptions of it pointing to the
abode of Joseph and Mary.

however the same two bodies doing it 3 times in a row is.

Note Isaiah was given a sign in
chapter 7:14 that a Virgin shall give birth to a son and his name shall be
called Immanuel, and this Revelation 12 seems to put that into a SIGN light, as
even a GREAT SIGN, and one promised by God. As to how much a virgin she was by
medical and whether the holy spirit sired the baby, is
another thing. But prophecy makes them also the same thing with it’s multiple level of meanings, again like octaves a
prophecy has even harmonics which ring true as a part fulfilment.
The second part of this
vision is of the dragon. Well the serpent constellation is the next to follow
Virgo over the horizon. It has

Rev 12:1 And a great sign was seen in heaven: a woman
arrayed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of
twelve stars;
Rev 12:2 and she was the child; and she cried out,
travailing in birth, and in pain to be delivered.
Like many prophecies there
are often several meanings each being different and yet correct all parts of
the fulfilment from different angles in different octaves of the same thing so
to speak. (for an example of this as told by an angel in Revelation 17 about
the meaning of 7 heads, as being 7 hills, 7 kingdoms and 7 kings.

A Great Sign
appeared in heaven (over the east horizon as the heavens revolve in the night

feet (the moon rises just after her feet and near her feet, a day either side

being one of the 12 constellations of the Zodiac, those nearest the earth’s
revolving line.

Virgo is also the
only female person in the 12 constellations of the Zodiac making her the mother
and queen with the crown of 12 stars.

Virgo means a
young woman of child bearing age, indeed the same origin words of virgin. They
are assumed virgins until they are married as they are not supposed to do
anything until so.

She cried in pain
to be delivered (suggesting the timing of the birth to the sign)
Rev 12:3 And there was seen another sign in heaven:
and behold, a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his
heads seven diadems.
The next constellation to
rise up after Virgo is over to the left some is the serpent. We know that the
great red dragon is Satan, and also that the serpent is Satan. In fact this intermingles them in this chapter.
And it is made up of many
stars, with the main ones being as in the count with 7 main stars, to symbolize
a cobra rising up high with a bend to the rest of it’s
body and tail.
This is also another sign in
heaven. Of which is mean to be the night skies of the stars. As to them that
was heaven, they didn’t know about outer space. Now days we
would call it the heavens, as one type of heaven, if we wanted to be
metaphorical. But otherwise it’s outer space, and the atmosphere and the
skies. Some like apostle Paul make a distinction into
a 3rd heaven where he saw things inexpressible with words. Some say there are 7
heavens, but that is not our discussion.
Rev 12:4 And his tail draweth
the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the
dragon standeth before the woman that is about to be
delivered, that when she is delivered he may devour her child.
The way these prophecies have
double and triple meanings I find intriguing and am getting a feel for
recognizing them now days. For here the Serpent constellation comes up after
Virgo as a matter of course, always has for thousands of years or more. And now
it is representing that he is trying to devour her baby as it is born. And in
reality, he did with Herod killing off the children, which
also fulfilled a prophecy, but Joseph was warned in a dream to flee to
I think this is the main
verse which gives weight to the common believe that Satan was the archangel
Lucifer in charge of a third of the angels with, the two other archangels
Gabriel and Michael having a third each also. So that when Lucifer fell he
became the deceiver which is the meaning of Satan, and
with him followed his angels after him.
Rev 12:5 And she was delivered of a son, a man child,
who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up
unto God, and unto his throne.
This verifies that we are
talking about Jesus. The woman is both Mary his mother, as well as
Rev 12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where
she hath a place prepared of God, that there they may nourish her a thousand
two hundred and threescore days.
The timing
of this as another octave of the prophecy below of the same time period. This where Joseph has a dream to
flee from Herod and they leave in the night and go to
Rev 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his
angels going forth to war with the
dragon; and the dragon warred and his angels;
Rev 12:8 And they prevailed not, neither was their
place found any more in heaven.
Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast down, the old
serpent, he that is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole
world; he was cast down to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him.
This is where the devil is
kicked out in the vision. But is this before the final 3.5 years or for it.
Again with the multi level fulfilment it seems it might be both for the end,
but also with his initial fall he still had access to heaven as in the book of
Job.
Certainly it goes straight
from here to the Beast of the
Now that this dragon serpent
Satan the devil is made plain here as also that constellations meaning.
But we get the battles and
woes coming to those who dwell on the earth. Especially
against the woman and her offspring which is
Rev 12:10 And I heard a great voice in heaven, saying,
Now is come the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God, and the
authority of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, who accuseth them before our God day and night.
Rev 12:11 And they overcame him because of the blood
of the Lamb, and because of the word of their testimony; and they loved not
their life even unto death.
Rev 12:12 Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and ye that dwell in
them. Woe for the earth and for the sea: because the devil is gone down unto
you, having great wrath, knowing that he hath but a short time.
Rev 12:13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast
down to the earth, he persecuted the woman that brought forth the man child.
